Triplets!

On May 5th, we found out we were having triplets. Here's the first pic of the threesome. It's 2 identical twins and a "single."

Since I know there's a ton of curiosity about how this happened, here's the scoop. We got pregnant with Piper on a "stim" cycle, meaning that we took meds that gave my body a boost to ovulate. We did a mix of oral and injectibles and got our sweet little Piper. We did the same exact protocol with the triplets, which was actually designed to limit multiples. Triplets resulting from exactly what we did are about a .001% risk. My mom said we need to go ahead and play to lotto too.

With the triplet cycle, we knew we had 2 eggs, so twins were a possibility....though still not a probability based on the stats. Well....both fertilized and implanted and one split. So....we're having triplets!

We were shocked in the office but within a few minutes were just totally on board. These are our babies, and if we can get them here safely, we're going to have the cutest little tribe on the block.
